GPTT offers many exciting and challenging posts to support gp training. These include Extended Skills Posts (ESP)s, Advanced Rural Skills Posts (ARSP)s and Advanced Skills Training (AST)s.Please contact Jo France to discuss other options for posts.

Extended Skills Posts (ESP)s for gp registrars

These ESPs may be based in a general practice, hospital or community post setting. ESPs are 6 usually taken for 6 months full time - 4 days per week over 6 months or 2 days per week over 12 months. Currently GPTT has the following posts accredited as ESPs:

ACRRM - Advanced Skills Training (AST)s

12 month post completed any time during training. GPTT offers the following ASTs in Tasmania:

Remote Medicine (Antarctic/Macquarie Island)

RACGP - Advanced Rural Skills Posts (ARSP)s

12 month clinical post, usually in a hospital focused on procedural medicine. GPTT offers the following ARSPs in Tasmania:
