Medical Emergency Training (MET)
MET is a 4 1/2 day program that is compulsory for all GPTT registrars.
The level of knowledge and skills is set at that which is judged
to be a minimum standard for doctors working in rural areas.
It covers all common topics in rural emergency medical practice.
MET has been designed by rural doctors and faculty consists of
experienced rural practitioners, emergency physicians and paramedics.
The program is co-ordinated
