PULSE

For people with an interest in adolescent health this clinic sees only 12-24yr olds! It is suitable for subsequent term registrars as you would be working on your own in clinic with phone support, but with an excellent team of skilled RN's with sexual health qualifications, child health nurse, social workers and youth workers.  There is good access to emergency funding for patients where needed, and to psychologists, dieticians and more.  There are a wide range of presentations: anxiety and depression, drug and alcohol, young mothers and their children, homelessness, sexual health, working with school counsellors and women’s shelters.  A very upbeat, feel good environment means clients chose to visit for other activities – music workshops (there is a recording studio), cooking classes, playgroups, art groups, computer workshop etc.
